Active case search data from June 2026 revealed a high burden of unreported suspected VPDs, primarily measles, concentrated in the East and Southern Africa Block (Mozambique, Malawi, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia, and Madagascar), in the DRC-Angola Block (DRC and Angola), in the West Block (Benin, Togo and Guinea), and in the Lake Chad Basin (Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon and Central African Republic).
